Fuski Cognitive Framework
Measuring how people think, not just what they know.
In a world shaped by AI, automation and constant change, content knowledge alone is no longer enough. The real differentiator is cognition: how people reason, adapt, collaborate and learn over time.
Fuski is a cognitive learning and assessment platform that measures, develops and strengthens the thinking skills that drive performance at work.

What is cognitive ability?
Cognitive ability is how a person thinks: how they take in information, make sense of it, decide what to do, and learn from the result.
It is not intelligence as a single score, and it is not personality. It is a set of thinking skills, such as curiosity, critical thinking, focus, resilience and empathy, that can be measured and strengthened over time.
Thinking & Reasoning
How people analyse, imagine and make sense of the world.
Self-Regulation & Learning
How people focus, remember, reflect and keep going.
Social & Collaborative Cognition
How people communicate, empathise and work with others.
Agency, Adaptability & Real-World Readiness
How people make decisions, take risks and adapt to change.
What makes Fuski different
The process behind the outcome
Most talent systems measure outcomes: scores, grades or task completion. Fuski looks at the process behind the outcome. Instead of asking “Did you get the answer right?”, Fuski asks:
How did you approach the problem?
Did you adapt when you were stuck?
Can you reflect, regulate and learn forward?
Fuski draws on research in cognitive psychology, pedagogy and learning science to make these skills measurable and trainable.

The Fuski Cognitive Framework
Three layers, one complete picture
The framework connects fundamental thinking abilities with real-world roles and behaviour patterns.
Layer 1 · Foundation
Cognitive Skills
Fifteen core skills that shape how people learn, process information, collaborate and make decisions, from curiosity and critical thinking to resilience and ethical thinking.
Layer 2 · Expression
Thinking Roles
Each skill shows up as a thinking role people play at work. Curiosity drives the Questioner, critical thinking the Evaluator, and empathy the Empath.
Layer 3 · Pattern
Cognitive Profiles
When thinking roles appear together consistently, they form a cognitive profile: the dominant way a person approaches learning, decisions and collaboration.

Cognitive profiles
Nine ways people think at work
Cognitive profiles are not personality types. They reflect how skills cluster in real behaviour, and they change as people grow.
Discover Opportunities

See who is ready for a bigger role, and which thinking skills are still growing.
Plan role rotations
Match people to roles that stretch their strengths, so rotations build capability.
Develop where it counts
Build the right skills for each person, at the right career stage, instead of one programme for all.
Transform teams
See the thinking mix across teams as work changes, and close the gaps that slow them down.

One framework for workforce development
The same 15 skills follow a person from today’s role to the next one, so promotion, rotation and L&D decisions speak one language. A visible path to grow gives your best people a reason to stay.
